Athens Dance Team 2009-2010

03/09/10 - Athens Dance Team successfully placed at their second competition held 2/28/10 at Findlay High School.  The team drove 6.5 hours through a treacherous snow storm to compete and ended up placing  2nd in the lyrical performance and 4th in Pom category.  The team was extremely happy with the results given the outstanding competition from other teams.

They came back and last week, drilled and modified both routines with more advanced technique and difficulty for their final competition.  On Sunday, the team headed to Mansfield High School for the Ohio State Championship Competition.  ADT placed second in the Lyrical category and Third in the Pom category.  Seniors, Ava Miller and Laura Schaus both placed in the top 3 for the Varsity Solo category comprised of 30 competitors.  The team will finish their season with a team banquet on Monday, March 15th.  GREAT JOB ADT!!

The Athens High School Dance Team participated in an Ameridance Dance Competition on Sunday, 2/14/10 at Perrysburg High School. They competed against 20 teams and being their first competition, were extremely pleased with their earned results. They placed 1st in the Lyrical category and 3rd in the Pom category. Senior, Laura Schaus placed 2nd in her solo. They have the Regional Competition at Findlay High School on 2/27/10 and have been invited to the State Competition on 3/07/10 at Mansfield High School. Great jobs Ladies! Good luck with your future events!
