35-Year Reunion:  Weekend of July 17-19, 2009

Friday, July 17:
Mixer at Broney's, corner of Court and Carpenter, 7:30 - ??
Members of other AHS classes are invited to attend the mixer.

Saturday, July 18:
Dinner/reunion activities at the Athens Elks Lodge, West Union Street, 7:00 PM to midnight. There will be a deejay from 6:00 - 12:00 p.m.. He will provide music as
well as karaoke.
Cocktail hour, 6:00 - 7:00 PM, Dinner at 7:00 PM
The menu will be:
Steamboat Round of Beef (this will provide rare, medium, and well done beef)
Grilled chicken
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Green beans
Rolls
Salad
Choice of two varieties of berry pies for dessert
Dress is casual.

Accomodations:
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Ohio University Inn for Thursday night, July 16, 2009 through Saturday night July 18, 2009.  Check out would be Sunday, July 19, 2009.  The price of the room will be $102.95 plus tax. Iindicate you are a part of the AHS Class of 74 reunion to get the special rate.  There are 7 rooms that have two double beds that are non-smoking.  One room is two double beds that is a smoking room.  Six rooms with a king bed that are non-smoking.  One king room is available that is smoking.  The phone number for anyone that is interested is 740-593-6661.  Their web address for anyone who wants to look before deciding is www.ouinn.com

There is also a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn Express.  Unfortunately, they are not able to provide a link.  The price is also $102.95 plus tax. Same dates are reserved as the O.U. Inn.   Again, anyone interested will need to indicate they are part of the AHS Class of 74 group.  Their number is 740-592-4640.  Holiday Inn only has non-smoking rooms and there 10 rooms reserved with 2 queen beds.  A  key card from Holiday Inn Express gives the occupant a 10% discount at Applebees.  The Holiday Inn Express is conveniently located right off the East State Street exit from 33E and is right behind Applebees.  They have an indoor pool, hot tub, and a continental breakfast including hot items.  More information can be found at

Lastly, we have a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn for the same dates.  Interested parties will need to indicate they are part of the AHS Class of 74 reunion group.  The price is $119.00 per night plus tax.  Link to be available later.
